Because let's face it, last year's problems don't just vanish at the start of a new year. Instead of making goals with the intent of "things being different this year, why not think of each new year as a check-point? Create lifetime goals. Change your lifestyle. If you're not healthy, make that a long-term goal. You cannot go from eating potato chips to celery sticks in one night just like you cannot drop ten pounds in a day. Your body is your temple, it needs some love. If you're not "smart enough", read. every. single. day. Your body is your temple and your mind is your palace. It needs gold. Make your goals like God has made life. We come out of the womb and we cry. Then we crawl, slowly start to walk and then we run. Capture your goals with the small footsteps of a baby. Slowly but surely. That is the only way to maintain them. and as each year passes by, look at your goals and reflect. Have you gotten closer to attaining them? Have you made time to pray for them? Have you talked to God about them?
